Job summary

Reddit is hiring Machine Learning Engineers (IC4) to build and evolve the auction, bidding and budgeting systems powering Reddit Ads. In this role, you will design and implement optimization models for bids, pacing, and budgets, and own these systems end-to-end from problem formulation to production deployment.

You will work across Ads Optimization to deliver measurable wins for advertisers and Redditors, mentoring others while remaining hands-on.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years building ML systems in production (IC4 typically 5+).
• Strong programming in Python, Java, or Go with solid SWE fundamentals.
• Experience designing scalable data processing systems (e.g., Spark, Kafka, Airflow, BigQuery, Redis).

Responsibilities

• Design and implement optimization algorithms for auctions, bidding, and pacing.
• Own systems end-to-end from problem formulation to experimentation and production deployment.
• Collaborate with Ads Optimization and cross-functional teams to deliver measurable wins.
