Job summary

SpaceX in Bastrop, TX is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer, Machine Learning/Data Science to join the central application software team.

You will build data analysis libraries, scalable pipelines, and ML-driven tools used across SpaceX for launches, production, and Starlink telemetry. You will own the end-to-end software, collaborate with engineers, and apply ML techniques (CNNs/RNNs) with Python, Pandas, PyTorch and OpenCV to real-world problems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or a scientific discipline with 5+ years of software experience.
• 3+ years of full-stack development experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop highly reliable and scalable data analysis libraries, systems, and data pipelines
• Create new applications that improve how SpaceX operates
• Collaborate with peers on architecture, design, and code reviews
• Build prototypes to prove key design concepts and constraints
• Own all aspects of software engineering and product development
• Deep dive into problems and coordinate with domain experts
