You will build production-grade intelligence that powers products, operations, and newsroom workflows—while creating foundational AI capabilities that scale across the VERSANT portfolio.

This role combines hands‑on architecture with platform vision.

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years in ML, AI, and distributed systems.
• Proven experience building production ML systems.
• Experience with LLMs, retrieval, and AI integration.

Responsibilities

• Set the technical vision for ML/AI at Versant, aligning with newsroom needs.
• Architect end-to-end ML systems across vision, language, and retrieval.
• Lead evaluation and monitoring, defining benchmarks and feedback loops.
• Partner with Editorial and product to embed AI into workflows.
