Job summary

Unconventional AI in Palo Alto is seeking a Member of Technical Staff, AI Systems, Algorithms & Models, to design and scale model architectures that blend novel computational primitives with conventional neural components for multi-modal capabilities.

You will build end-to-end architectures for image generation, language, video, and world models on our novel compute substrates, co-designing models and hardware-aware implementations with researchers and engineers.

Qualifications

• MS/PhD or equivalent in AI/CS/Physics or related field.
• Deep expertise in modern ML model architectures and training.
• Fluency with transformers, diffusion models and ML tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design and scale model architectures blending novel primitives with conventional neural components.
• Co-design algorithms for multi-modal tasks including image, language, video and world models.
• Develop end-to-end architectures optimized for our novel compute substrates.
• Collaborate across researchers, software and hardware teams to align model requirements with hardware constraints.
