Job summary

National Debt Relief is seeking a Senior Engineer, ML & AI Ops to build and operate the AWS platform supporting our ML models, internal AI tools, and event-driven integrations. This role partners with Data Science, Data Engineering, Analytics, Product, and other engineering teams to deliver reliable production services with strong security and observability.

The ideal candidate has extensive AWS and IaC experience, and a track record of running production ML workloads with secure, auditable

Qualifications

• 6+ years in MLOps, platform engineering, DevOps/SRE, or backend engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field.
• Deep AWS experience designing and operating production workloads.
• Experience building event-driven integrations with third-party APIs.
• Experience with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code across multi-environment systems.
• Hands-on experience deploying and operating ML models with monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate AWS infrastructure behind ML models and AI tools.
• Build event-driven integrations and CDC pipelines between systems.
• Design for reliability, idempotency, replay, and schema evolution.
• Develop containerized inference APIs and backend services with secure interfaces.
• Manage Terraform across AWS accounts and environments with CI workflows.
• Develop ML workflows from training to production and monitor them.
• Implement observability: logging, metrics, alerts, and model monitoring.
• Support secure operation of internal LLM/agentic systems with access controls.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering on Snowflake datasets and governance.
• Lead incident response, participate in on-call, and create runbooks.
