Job summary

ASML in San Jose seeks an experienced analog/mixed-signal design engineer to lead high-speed, high-precision DAC/ADC signal chains and precision high-voltage circuits up to ±225V. You will model system behavior, run SPICE simulations, and drive lab bring-up with advanced test equipment.

The role requires a Master’s or PhD in EE and 5+ years in analog design; proficiency with LTspice, Cadence, ADS, and Python/MATLAB; collaboration with digital/FPGA teams; ownership from concept to production.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in analog or mixed-signal circuit design.
• Strong background in analog circuit fundamentals, with experience in operational amplifiers and precision analog design.
• ADC/DAC interfacing and signal chain optimization.
• High-speed and/or high-voltage analog systems.
• Experience in low-noise design (nV/√Hz).
• Proficiency in circuit simulation tools: LTspice, TINA, Cadence, ADS, or equivalent.
• Programming skills for modeling and data analysis: Python, MATLAB, or similar.
• Hands-on lab experience with measurement and debug tools: oscilloscopes, function generators, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, analysis, and implementation of high-performance analog and mixed-signal circuits.
• Architect and optimize end-to-end signal chains including DAC/ADC interfaces, amplification, filtering, and calibration.
• Perform modeling, simulation, and performance validation using system-level and circuit-level models.
• Drive laboratory debugging, validation, and system bring-up with advanced test equipment.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with digital, FPGA, system, power, and software teams to define interfaces.
• Support full product lifecycle from concept to volume production (DV/EVT/production).
• Produce high-quality design documentation and test reports; mentor junior engineers.
