Job summary

Anduril Industries in California is seeking a Senior Mission Software Engineer to own critical areas of the EW software stack, spanning embedded software, backend services, deployment tooling, and operator-facing applications. You will drive architecture, coordinate across teams, and contribute to building scalable software for contested environments.

You will mentor other engineers, interface with operators and customers to align mission requirements with engineering priorities, and help scale

Qualifications

• Experience with Linux in production environments.
• Deep expertise in at least one of: Haskell, Rust, C++, Go, TypeScript.
• Willingness to travel up to 30%.
• Strong communication and direct customer collaboration skills.
• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience shipping complex software in high-stakes environments.
• Embedded or hardware-software interface experience.
• Systems integration and networking experience.
• Security clearance eligibility (U.S. Top Secret SCI).

Responsibilities

• Own and drive the technical direction for one or more critical EW software areas.
• Architect and implement production-grade solutions at scale.
• Debug cross-system issues spanning embedded software, networks, apps, and infrastructure.
• Mentor junior engineers and influence engineering practices.
• Interface with customers/operators to translate mission requirements into priorities.
• Collaborate with embedded software, DSP/RFML, systems architecture, and growth teams.
• Support field deployments and customer engagements.
• Contribute to building the MSE team’s culture and standards.
