Job summary

Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. (SPA) seeks a Chief Architect to lead the design and evolution of the Mission Planning Enterprise architecture. This role ensures software, data, and infrastructure form a cohesive, scalable, and interoperable system aligned with DoD and Air Force standards.

You will drive mission threads, use cases, interface specifications, and architecture conformance monitoring, coordinating with government requirements and vendor solutions across programs.

Qualifications

• 10+ years architecture experience on complex, distributed, software-intensive systems.
• 5+ years in DoD C2, mission planning, or related domains.
• Strong knowledge of DoD architecture frameworks and interoperability considerations.
• Experience with component configuration management and architectural baselines across environments.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
• An active Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and evolution of the mission planning enterprise architecture, ensuring cohesive software, data, and infrastructure.
• Align architecture with DoD and Air Force technical standards and reference architectures.
• Drive mission threads, use cases, interface specifications, and architecture conformance monitoring.
• Lead architecture-related working groups and interface control activities across programs and vendors.
