Job summary

WSP is seeking a Senior Civil/Geotechnical Engineer to join our Mine Waste team in Lakewood, CO. You will lead civil design for tailings, heap leach facilities, and related geotechnical analyses, while coordinating with a regional team on challenging mining and infrastructure projects.

The role requires 5–7 years of relevant experience, a PE license, and strong leadership and writing skills. Occasional travel may be required; the position is based on-site in Colorado.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil/geotechnical engineering required.
• 5–7 years of post-education experience in engineering and geotechnical design.
• Registered Professional Engineer with geotechnical design experience in mining.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil design of mine waste containment facilities and heap leach design.
• Manage geotechnical projects including investigations, testing, data interpretation.
• Perform stability, seepage, thermal and deposition modelling analyses.
• Deliver high-quality reports on time and within budget.
• Support client relationships and business development.
