Tetra Tech is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer for our Mining team in Salt Lake City, UT. You will lead piping, HVAC, and material handling system design as the technical lead and discipline leader on mining projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or chemical engineering.
• 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience in mining.
• Focus on system efficiency, reliability, safety, troubleshooting, optimization.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and engineering of piping, HVAC, and material handling systems.
• Direct project teams to meet objectives and ensure design quality.
• Review client requirements and coordinate with stakeholders to resolve design issues.
• Perform QA on deliverables and ensure compliance with standards.
• Create technical documentation and operating procedures.
• Coordinate with project manager and client meetings to establish objectives.
