Job summary

Donlin Gold LLC seeks an experienced Process Engineer to design, optimize, and implement mineral processing systems for a world-class gold project. You will contribute to safe, reliable, and efficient operations from detailed engineering through commissioning, working closely with engineering, construction, procurement, operations, and EPCM teams.

The role involves evaluating process designs, supporting safety initiatives, and advancing project objectives in a remote, cold-climate mining

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering or related field.
7–12 years of progressive process engineering experience in mining or mineral processing.

Responsibilities

Develop, review, and optimize flow sheets for crushing, grinding, flotation, POX, leaching, and tailings.
Review PFDs and P&IDs, equipment specs, data sheets, and calculations.
Develop, validate, and maintain mass and energy balances and process models.
Evaluate design alternatives to improve performance, reliability, operability, constructability, and cost.
Support equipment sizing, vendor evaluations, and procurement.
Participate in HAZOPs, design reviews, risk assessments, and process safety initiatives.
Analyze metallurgical test work and operating data to validate design assumptions.
Identify opportunities to improve metallurgical recovery and plant throughput.
Support development of operating philosophies, commissioning plans, and control strategies.
Troubleshoot process and metallurgical issues during engineering, construction, commissioning, and startup.
