Job summary

This role blends technical planning with practical land-management experience, heavy emphasis on permitting, zoning, and reclamation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related field required.
• Mine planning experience focused on long-range planning and optimization.
• Experience with pit optimization, phase design, sequencing and trade-off analysis.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Carlson or similar tools.
• Strong communication skills and ability to act as senior technical authority.
• Experience in fast-moving, project-driven or greenfield environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain short-term, mid-range, and life-of-mine plans.
• Prepare reserve calculations, production schedules and sequencing plans.
• Optimize pit layouts, haul roads, phases and material flow for efficiency and safety.
• Support budgets, capital planning, and long-range strategy.
• Manage land assets, including acquisition, leases, and access agreements.
• Coordinate land acquisition, easements and permitting efforts.
• Ensure compliance with zoning, mining permits and land-use regulations.
• Engage with local, state and federal agencies and stakeholders.
