Job summary

Tube Forgings of America, Inc. is seeking a skilled millwright to join our maintenance team in Portland, OR.

You will troubleshoot and repair a range of production equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and assist with capital improvements to improve reliability and run time. The role requires strong reading of work instructions, safety awareness, and the ability to work independently as well as in a team.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent required; 5-7 years of millwright experience recommended.
• Experience with preventive/predictive maintenance and basic shop practices.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions and safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair machinery using cranes, hoists, forklifts, and hand/power tools.
• Reassemble machinery and verify proper mechanical and safety operation before production.
• Operate lathes, mills, and drill presses to machine parts for equipment repairs.
• Perform preventive/predictive maintenance: vibration analysis, laser alignment, infrared thermography, oil analysis.
• Install, set up, and start capital improvements; fabricate and weld new equipment and piping as needed.
• Maintain inspections, parts inventory, and ensure clean, safe work environment.
