Merritt is seeking a skilled Millwork Estimator in Mentor, OH to analyze drawings and accurately project costs for custom woodwork projects. You will review plans, estimate materials and labor, and prepare competitive quotes for clients and internal teams.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in millwork or construction estimating, excels at reading architectural drawings, and is proficient with PlanSwift or Bluebeam and advanced Excel. This role offers growth within a growing organization.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in millwork, cabinetry, or construction estimating.
• Strong ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and technical specifications.
• Excellent numerical accuracy and organizational skills.
• Proficient with take-off software such as PlanSwift or Bluebeam and advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Review architectural drawings, blueprints, and project specifications to determine millwork requirements (e.g., cabinetry, paneling, trim)
• Accurately estimate materials, labor, and associated costs for custom woodwork projects
• Prepare clear, detailed, and competitive quotes and bids for clients, contractors, and internal teams
• Source and negotiate pricing from vendors and suppliers to ensure cost-effective solutions
• Collaborate with project managers and production teams to ensure projects stay within budget and timeline
• Revise estimates as project scopes change or new information becomes available
