Job summary

A technology service provider in Tucson, AZ is looking for a Senior Systems Safety Engineer MIL-STD-882E. The ideal candidate will lead system safety programs and ensure compliance with safety standards. They should hold a Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field and possess at least five years of relevant experience. Key responsibilities include coordinating with safety representatives, conducting hazard analyses, and collaborating across teams to eliminate risks. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and at least 5 years of relevant Safety Engineering experience.
• Experience with System Safety Engineering with Software, Firmware, or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in weapon combat systems is a plus.
• Experience with DoD System Safety Programs is a plus.
• Experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) and Proposal Development is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead one or more MIL-STD-882E compliant system safety programs.
• Perform MIL-STD-882E System Safety Program tasks and analyses.
• Coordinate with customer safety representatives for safety approvals.
• Perform System Safety Program hazard analyses.
• Brief safety of the program at technical reviews for safety approval.
• Interpret system requirements and military standards.
• Prepare internal and customer reports for various analyses.
• Work across integrated product teams to eliminate hazards.
• Collaborate with Program Management and government authorities.
• Ensure Reliability, System Safety, and Supportability.
