Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and at least 5 years of relevant Safety Engineering experience.
Experience with System Safety Engineering with Software, Firmware, or Electrical Engineering.
Experience in weapon combat systems is a plus.
Experience with DoD System Safety Programs is a plus.
Experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) and Proposal Development is a plus.
Responsibilities
Lead one or more MIL-STD-882E compliant system safety programs.
Perform MIL-STD-882E System Safety Program tasks and analyses.
Coordinate with customer safety representatives for safety approvals.
Perform System Safety Program hazard analyses.
Brief safety of the program at technical reviews for safety approval.
Interpret system requirements and military standards.
Prepare internal and customer reports for various analyses.
Work across integrated product teams to eliminate hazards.
Collaborate with Program Management and government authorities.
