Job summary

Brunel in Houston is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to support major midstream oil & gas pipeline projects, delivering accurate cost estimates for pipelines and related facilities. The role requires strong pipeline construction estimating experience, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and collaboration with engineering, project management, procurement and construction teams.

40h/week, ASAP start, ongoing contract for 1 year renewable.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of construction/capital cost estimating experience.
• Strong direct experience with midstream pipeline construction estimating.
• Experience with transmission or gathering pipelines and related facilities.
• Experience with pipeline projects such as laterals/interconnects, compressor stations, pump stations, meter stations, or hydrotesting.
• Strong understanding of oil & gas construction methods and project execution.
• Experience with a pipeline operator, EPC/engineering firm, or pipeline construction contractor is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual, budgetary, and detailed construction cost estimates.
• Prepare estimates for midstream pipeline and associated facility projects.
• Estimate labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and construction costs.
• Review project scope, drawings, specifications, and quantities.
• Support capital project budgeting, forecasting, and estimate reviews.
• Collaborate with engineering, project management, procurement, and construction teams.
• Identify cost risks, assumptions, and opportunities throughout project development.
