Job summary

Aspen Midstream LLC is seeking an estimator to join our team in Dallas, TX. The role focuses on midstream construction estimating, analyzing project specs, and developing accurate cost estimates to ensure competitive pricing, quality, and profitability.

You will work closely with project managers, engineering, operations, and contractors to deliver reliable estimates aligned with project goals. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years in midstream/industrial construction and strong proficiency

Job description

Aspen Midstream LLC is a private equity back midstream service provider based in Dallas, TX. We are currently operating and constructing natural gas pipeline assets in the Washington, Fayette, Austin, Waller Counties in Texas and expanding.

Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in midstream construction management and estimating, with the ability to analyze project specifications and develop accurate cost estimates. This role is critical in ensuring that our projects are competitively priced while maintaining quality and profitability. The Estimator will collaborate closely with project managers, engineering, operations, commercial, and contractors to deliver estimates that align with project goals.

Key Responsibilities Include
  • Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates.
  • Build relationships with contractors and suppliers to gather pricing information for materials and services.
  • Negotiate pricing with contractors and suppliers.
  • Prepare estimates and ability to present them, ensuring clarity on all aspects of the estimate.
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure alignment between estimates and project execution.
  • Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather information necessary for accurate estimating.
  • Maintain organized records of all estimates, contracts, market pricing, and correspondence related to each project.
  • Must be team oriented, self-motivated with a strong commitment to organization, detail, and communication.
Preferred Education/ Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years in Midstream/ Industrial construction
Requirements
  • Strong proficiency in using Microsoft excel, Microsoft projects, Microsoft word and relative applications
  • Strong knowledge of midstream and/or related industrial construction principles and practices
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data
  • Preferred familiarity with contract terms, conditions, and compliance requirements in the midstream/ industrial construction
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for clear interaction with engineering, commercial, operations, vendors, contractors, and suppliers
  • Ability to manage multiple projects estimates simultaneously while meeting deadlines
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Experience working with engineering, accounting, commercial, operations, contractors and vendors
Other
  • Work may involve walking over uneven terrain, bending, moving from ground level to higher levels, and working around mechanical, industrial and electrical equipment
  • Must be willing to travel overnight
  • Ability to follow written or spoken work instructions in English
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs. occasionally, outdoor work required with exposure to elements, able to work extended hours
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • Must be willing to live within an hour of Dallas, TX location
