Job summary

Archer, in collaboration with TekSynap, seeks a Middleware Team Lead to deploy, administer, and optimize middleware across Linux, UNIX, and Windows environments. You will manage IIS, Apache, Tomcat, WebLogic, and WebSphere in a mixed setting, ensuring high availability and performance while aligning with DoD/STIG requirements.

The role requires strong collaboration with customers and stakeholders, SRR/POA&M processes, and proactive security improvements for government programs.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience with application server architecture in a large enterprise.
• Hands-on middleware experience with IIS, Apache, Tomcat, WebLogic, or WebSphere.
• Configuring and managing SOAP/REST web services.
• Familiar with XML standards (DTD, XSLT) and related tools.
• Basic debugging ability in Java or C#.
• Experience with UNIX and Windows system administration.
• Familiar with Oracle and SQL Server databases.
• Scripting with Python and PowerShell.
• Knowledge of STIGs and IAVM.
• Ability to communicate with customers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead deployment, administration, and maintenance of middleware software.
• Architect mid-tier infra for Linux, UNIX, and Windows.
• Install, configure, and manage IIS, Apache, Tomcat, WebLogic, and WebSphere.
• Manage OS configs and mid-tier components for high availability and performance.
• Schedule and coordinate deployments and infrastructure upgrades.
• Develop and enforce security standards to comply with ALTESS and DoD requirements.
• Create proactive monitoring systems and dashboards for service delivery.
• Perform SRRs and document findings in POA&Ms.
• Collaborate with dev teams to support debugging and middleware integration.
• Stay current with middleware tech; propose performance, security, scalability improvements.
