Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking a senior leader to plan, manage, and support enterprise middleware technologies. You will guide a team of middleware developers and engineers, delivering large integration projects while ensuring stability, scalability, and resilience of our integration landscape.

The role requires guiding L3 production support, driving architectural improvements, and partnering with application leads on major initiatives.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years IT experience with middleware leadership.
• ≥5 years hands-on with major middleware platforms and API deployment.
• Proven project management for complex integration initiatives.
• Distributed teams across multiple time zones.
• Strong communication for senior leadership; PowerPoint ready.
• OO principles, middleware, integration patterns, industry trends.
• Experience with message brokers and application servers such as WebLogic/Apache.
• Oversee internal developers, analysts, consultants, and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Develop a high performing team and cultivate process improvements.
• Plan, manage, and support enterprise middleware technologies (MuleSoft, ETL, MFT, brokers, B2B).
• Lead middleware developers and support engineers to deliver large, complex integrations.
• Provide L3 production support, testing, documentation, and change management.
• Drive architecture and design improvements for integration processes and tools.
• Collaborate with application leads on major initiatives, performing technical analysis and design reviews.
• Maintain data accuracy and integrity in all activities.
• Prepare status reports, dashboards, and metrics; present updates to leadership with risks and key decisions.
