Job summary

Sammons Financial Group is seeking an experienced Middleware Administrator to design, configure and operate our middleware infrastructure across enterprise applications. You will automate CI/CD workflows, coordinate with offshore teams, and drive improvements in performance, availability and upgrade paths.

Ideal candidates have strong Windows middleware experience, MuleSoft and Confluent Cloud expertise, and familiarity with cloud automation and IaC practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Information Technology or related IT field.
• Minimum 5 years' combined experience administering middleware applications (MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, Apache Tomcat, WebSphere, IIS or similar).
• Experience working in Windows operating environments.
• Experience with DevOps tools and concepts (e.g. Jenkins, Bamboo, Ansible, Puppet, Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, etc.).
• Knowledge of building automation for cloud environments and related tools.
• Experience administering MuleSoft Anypoint Platform and Confluent Cloud (Kafka) environments.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Developers and Architects during project initiation to define integration direction.
• Automate the implementation and configuration of middleware using CI/CD tools.
• Lead and coordinate operational tasks and incidents with offshore consultants.
• Develop improvements and automate processes where applicable.
• Monitor and manage performance of the middleware environment.
• Plan migrations, consolidations and upgrades of middleware components.
• Troubleshoot issues to improve application performance.
• Administer, maintain, install and operate middleware components.
• Perform daily tasks and system reviews to ensure scheduled work is completed.
• Represent Infrastructure and IT Middleware in projects and initiatives, as needed.
• Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation.
