Job summary

Insight is seeking a Senior Architect to lead discovery engagements, design target-state security architectures, and guide clients through critical decisions across the Microsoft security stack. You will help build the practice by contributing reusable IP and accelerators while working in a hybrid Perth-based environment.

The role sits in the Modern Work & Security practice, reporting to the Services department's Team Lead, with responsibilities spanning client delivery and the development of

Qualifications

• Demonstrated senior architecture and advisory capability with problem definition and decision support.
• Strong customer-facing consulting experience and ability to facilitate workshops.
• Deep architecture experience across the Microsoft security stack (Entra ID, Defender, Intune, Purview, 365).
• Proven experience with Entra ID including CA, governance, RBAC, hybrid identity, cross-tenant access.
• Experience developing security strategies, maturity assessments, and roadmaps aligned to risk and regulatory needs.
• Experience supporting Essential 8 uplift activities and reporting to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery engagements and advisory workshops to clarify outcomes and risks.
• Frame challenges with structured thinking and provide clear options and recommendations.
• Design target-state security architectures, roadmaps, and control mappings for long-term success.
• Communicate risks and trade-offs to executives and technical stakeholders.
• Provide architecture governance and guidance to delivery teams on design decisions.
• Contribute reusable IP and knowledge-sharing materials to strengthen the practice.
