Job summary
MG Properties is seeking a Senior Data & Analytics Engineer to own the enterprise data platform and analytics capabilities. You will manage the Microsoft Fabric environment, lakehouses, and semantic models while delivering governance and AI-enabled analytics.
You will design scalable BI solutions, migrate existing Power BI reports from Yardi, and partner with leaders to align the analytics roadmap with business needs. This onsite role may hybridize.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in data, analytics, or BI with enterprise ownership.
- Hands-on Microsoft Fabric, lakehouses, OneLake, semantic models.
- Advanced Power BI including governance and enterprise dashboards.
- Proficient in SQL, DAX, and Power Query.
- Track record replacing Excel reporting with governed solutions that users adopt.
- Ability to communicate with senior stakeholders and translate needs into technical solutions.
Responsibilities
- Own and administer the Microsoft Fabric environment.
- Design and maintain semantic models, Power BI reports, and dashboards.
- Lead the migration of Yardi-native Power BI reporting to the Fabric platform.
- Replace manual Excel reporting with governed, scalable solutions.
- Establish standards, definitions, and trusted data sources across the org.
- Partner with leaders to map analytics roadmap and governance.
- Build AI-enabled analytics and NLP querying with IT collaboration.
- Create docs and training for self-service analytics.
- Serve as escalation point for data and AI initiatives.
