Job summary

Aberdeen Advisors LLC is seeking a hands-on Microsoft 365 Migration Engineer to support secure integration of acquired organizations into a unified Microsoft 365 environment. You will partner with IT M&A teams, vendors, and acquired-company contacts to assess environments, plan migrations, and maintain employee productivity through integration.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience leading enterprise Microsoft 365 migrations and M&A integrations.
• Experience with BitTitan, Quest On Demand, ShareGate, or comparable tools.
• Strong knowledge of Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive migrations.
• Knowledge of Entra ID, MFA, Conditional Access and access controls.
• Ability to assess licensing, data volume, and migration risks to produce actionable plans.
• Clear communication and documentation; able to adapt to changing priorities.
• Willingness to travel occasionally and provide after-hours support.

Responsibilities

• Assess source environments and define migration scope.
• Plan and execute migrations across Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive.
• Validate Day 1 email readiness.
• Configure migration tools, manage licensing, mapping, throughput.
• Coordinate dependencies with internal teams and vendors.
• Test migrations, review logs, troubleshoot, document exceptions.
• Report progress and risks to stakeholders.
• Develop runbooks and repeatable migration processes.
