Job summary

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas is seeking a Senior System Administrator to lead enterprise infrastructure administration, ensuring reliability, security and performance to meet business needs and SLAs. You will design, implement and maintain architecture, monitor systems, guide projects, mentor staff, and collaborate with leadership, vendors and other teams to balance cost and long‑term strategy.

The role supports remote, hybrid or onsite work per policy and requires Kansas/Missouri

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical field is required.
• Minimum of eight years' IT experience in administration and/or application development.
• Experience administering Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, Power Platform and Entra ID is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication, leadership, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support infrastructure technologies to ensure reliability, availability, and performance.
• Analyze requirements and develop infrastructure solutions aligned with organizational objectives.
• Lead and support infrastructure projects using established methodologies.
• Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure architecture, standards and documentation.
• Monitor performance, perform maintenance, upgrades and remediation activities.
• Collaborate with leaders, vendors and technical teams to deliver solutions and service commitments.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to team members and stakeholders.
