Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Lead for Microgrid and Battery Energy Storage to join our Energy Team. The role is HYBRID and involves planning, feasibility, design, and construction tasks across microgrid, BESS, and renewable energy projects.

The candidate will interface with clients, lead technical proposals, develop detailed designs, and mentor others while traveling within the United States as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field with 8+ years of experience.
• Experience in microgrid design and energy storage systems.
• Knowledge of microgrid controls and regulatory aspects of deployment.
• Knowledge of renewable technologies and components of microgrids and energy storage.
• Experience with microgrid and renewables software (Homer PRO, Helioscope).
• Ability to develop detailed design documents.

Responsibilities

• Interface with clients to identify project needs and communicate solutions.
• Coordinate inter-discipline team for project execution.
• Manage internal resources and subcontractors for scope execution.
• Develop cost estimates to determine ROI.
• Write technical reports for clients and stakeholders.
• Develop detailed microgrid solutions using industry tools.
• Review or originate solar and energy production design packages.
