Job summary

Slingshot Biosciences is seeking a Microfluidic Process Engineer II in Emeryville, CA to lead the development, optimization, and scale-up of microfluidic consumables and cell mimic products. You will own end-to-end PDMS chip fabrication and oversee polymeric base bead production while coordinating with CMOs.

The role requires 8+ years in biotech or an advanced degree with hands-on PDMS microfluidics, photolithography, and DoE, plus ISO/13485 familiarity.

Qualifications

• BS in Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, or related STEM with 8+ years in biotech/medical device.
• MS/PhD with relevant experience is acceptable.
• Hands-on PDMS microfluidics fabrication and surface chemistry expertise.

Responsibilities

• Lead PDMS chip outsourcing and tech transfer to CMOs.
• Manage internal PDMS chip production workflows and QC.
• Oversee polymeric base bead manufacture and QC.
• Drive QA, CAPAs, and SOP/eMBR updates.
