Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital in New York, NY, seeks a Laboratory Technologist for the Microbiology department on the Evening shift. You will perform routine and complex tests on clinical specimens, troubleshoot instruments, and contribute to QC and procedures in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology and NY licensure, with ASCP certification preferred. On-site work and a strong commitment to quality are essential.

Here you'll have the opportunity to conduct routine and complex tests on clinical specimens in various areas of the laboratory in microbiology. Troubleshoot instruments and methods. Perform all quality control procedures and assist in the evaluation of new equipment, reagents and methodologies. Calibrate and maintain lab instrumentation. Research and establish new procedures to improve laboratory operations.

This position is from 4:00pm-12:00pm, Mon-Fri, every other weekend, rotating Holidays.

Required Criteria

• A Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology (or equivalent experience)
• New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist licensure from the New York Education department
