Job summary

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center seeks a Supervisor, Laboratory Medicine in New York, NY to plan, organize and supervise day-to-day microbiology lab operations. You will oversee staff, ensure quality, safety, and regulatory compliance, and coordinate with clinical teams to meet patient care needs.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Medical Technology and NYS CLT license with 5 years of microbiology experience, including molecular testing and antimicrobial susceptibility work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or closely related field.
• 5 years of experience in microbiology lab work and related disciplines.
• Experience with bacteriology, antimicrobial susceptibility testing, mycobacteriology, mycology, parasitology, and infectious disease serology.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and supervise day-to-day microbiology lab work.
• Monitor QA, QC, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Coach, evaluate, and develop lab staff performance.
• Develop and review SOPs for microbiology assays.
• Ensure accurate patient identification and documentation.
