Job summary

AV is seeking a Directed Energy Senior Manufacturing and Process Engineer to lead development, optimization, and sustainment of complex manufacturing processes. You will work across Design Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Operations, and Test to improve productivity, quality, cost, safety, and delivery performance.

You will mentor other engineers, drive NPI activities, and ensure compliant, robust production readiness across multiple programs.

Qualifications

• Typically 5–8 years of relevant manufacturing experience.
• Experience developing and sustaining processes for complex products.
• Experience with NPI, production transitions, and DFM activities.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and BOMs.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve manufacturing processes for complex products and test systems.
• Support NPI, design transfers, and production transitions.
• Review designs for manufacturability, cost, and serviceability.
• Create manufacturing documentation including SOPs and work instructions.
• Lead Lean, Six Sigma projects and root-cause analyses.
• Support investigations into yield loss, nonconformances, and process escapes.
• Establish process parameters, inspection methods, and production controls.
• Mentor junior engineers and production personnel.
