Job summary
Johnson & Johnson in Raynham, MA is seeking a Staff Metrology Engineer to join the Supply Chain Quality team. You will define inspection strategies, develop metrology standards, and lead cross-functional reviews to ensure product conformance and quality system objectives are met.
With 5–7 years in metrology or quality engineering, you will program CMMs (PC-DMIS, COSMO, CALYPSO), select inspection equipment, and mentor teams while applying GD&T per ASME Y14.5 to meet regulatory and quality
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or related field.
- 5–7 years of experience in Metrology/Quality engineering.
- Experience in selecting and procuring inspection equipment.
- Proficiency in PC-DMIS, COSMO and CALYPSO.
- Ability to read GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
Responsibilities
- Interpret GD&T drawings to identify inspection requirements.
- Identify product inspection requirements and define inspection strategies.
- Serve as technical expert for metrology inspection.
- Coordinate data collection for inspection measurements.
- Develop inspection platforms including vision and contact/non-contact systems.
- Lead development of inspection fixturing to reduce measurement error.
- Write work instructions for qualification of inspection techniques.
