Presrite Corporation, a Cleveland, Ohio-based precision forging producer, is seeking a qualified inspector to perform CMM and manual layout inspections of dies, tooling, and forgings. You will verify conformance to blueprints, GD&T, and customer specs, and document results for internal and external customers.

Responsibilities include developing CMM programs, conducting first-article and in-process inspections, performing capability studies, gage calibration, and maintaining data in ERP/MES

Formación

• High school education or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of CMM operation and programming.
• Basic preventative maintenance skills for metrology equipment.
• General inspection knowledge.
• Familiarity with FAI/first-article documentation requirements.
• Math, geometry and trigonometry basics.
• Working knowledge of SPC and process capability methodology.
• Gage calibration principles and Gage R&R methods.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprint drawings.
• ASME/ANSI Y14.5 GD&T knowledge.
• Knowledge of hardness testing methods and equipment.
• Root cause analysis and corrective action methodology.
• Computer skills – Word, Excel, Windows, ERP/MES, and SPC software.
• Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Operate CMMs and prepare CMM programs for die, tooling, and forging inspections.
• Perform in-process inspections, first-piece/first-article production tryouts, and final audits.
• Conduct capability studies (Cp/Cpk) and SPC studies per specs.
• Perform gage calibrations and Gage R&R studies and maintain gage tracking.
• Create and apply GD&T layouts using CMM and manual methods per ASME Y14.5.
• Perform hardness evaluations on forgings and dies using standard testers.
• Document nonconformances and support root cause analysis and corrective action.
• Enter data in ERP/MES and SPC systems and communicate results to stakeholders.
• Support internal and customer quality audits and maintain audit-ready records.
• Maintain lab equipment and comply with safety requirements.
