Job summary

Tris Pharma, Inc. in Monmouth Junction, NJ is seeking an experienced Senior Metrologist to support analytical laboratories with routine calibration and instrument verification on HPLC/UPLC, GC, UV-Vis, FTIR and more, following USP/NF guidelines under cGMP.

The role involves equipment maintenance, issue investigations, SOP creation, and collaboration with management. Under supervision, the incumbent will assist with metrology investigations, train junior staff, and ensure proper documentation and

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years lab experience in GMP related industry or 8 years handling analytical equipment in pharma/biotech Metrology, MV, QC
• Experience with FDA, cGLPs, cGMPs, SOPs and regulatory guidelines
• Hands-on metrology calibration, maintenance and troubleshooting of analytical instrumentation (HPLC/UPLC, GC, UV-Vis, etc.)
• Experience performing or assisting in metrology investigations
• Experience creating/revising SOPs
• Proficiency with Empower or similar lab software

Responsibilities

• Carries out calibration and instrument verification on analytical equipment per SOPs and USP/NF methods
• Documents all activities and reports results with data processing software
• Writes investigations into instrument calibration failures or related issues
• Creates, reviews, and revises SOPs for metrology activities
• Trains and mentors lower-level Metrologists
• Complies with safety rules, cGMPs and cGDPs
