Job summary

Cindavi in Evansville, Wisconsin is seeking a Senior Metallurgical Engineer to own our gray and ductile iron green sand foundry from melt to final casting. You will serve as the technical backbone for iron chemistry, raw materials, and metallurgical properties, driving improvements and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Materials Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent foundry experience.
• At least three years of hands-on experience in gray or ductile iron green sand foundry.
• Strong practical knowledge of melt practices, iron chemistry, green sand testing, and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical authority for gray and ductile iron melt chemistry and foundry process performance.
• Analyze casting defects, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions to reduce scrap.
• Monitor and optimize green sand systems, melt practices, and process controls to minimize manufacturing variation.
• Lead, coach, and provide daily technical support to the Foundry Laboratory Technician.
