Motive Workforce is seeking a Senior Additive Manufacturing Engineer for an advanced manufacturing organization in Long Beach, CA. This onsite, hands-on role focuses on design, development, and production of hardware using metal additive manufacturing, with emphasis on LPBF and robust production processes.

Qualifications

• Experience in metal additive manufacturing, preferably LPBF.
• Experience applying Design for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM) principles.
• Experience in aerospace/defense environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement metal additive manufacturing processes for hardware production.
• Apply DfAM principles to improve part designs and manufacturability.
• Review and document customer requirements for AM parts and processes.
• Develop manufacturing process plans and technical documentation.
• Support engineering proposals and technical responses to customer RFPs.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and project teams to support production schedules and part delivery.
• Troubleshoot additive manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Support equipment testing, evaluation, maintenance, and process optimization.
• Participate in R&D programs, new application development, and process improvement projects.
• Support compliance with AS9100 requirements and associated quality documentation.
• Evaluate new AM technologies, materials, processes, and manufacturing methods.
• Support continuous improvement across additive manufacturing operations.
