Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. seeks a Specialist Solutions Architect for Messaging Services who will be the go-to technical expert for SQS, SNS, and MQ.

You will guide customers through asynchronous architectures, decouple microservices, and migrate messaging workloads to AWS, shaping enterprise messaging solutions with RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, or MQTT-based patterns. Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on experience designing or operating messaging and event-driven systems in production environments.
• 5+ years in a technical specialist/solutions architect role in customer-facing positions.
• Experience architecting distributed systems with asynchronous communication patterns.
• Knowledge of cloud architecture and AWS services.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical advisor for messaging and event-driven engagements across AWS customers worldwide.
• Design and validate architectures using SQS/SNS/MQ and related services tailored to workloads.
• Guide customers migrating from on-premises brokers to AWS managed messaging services.
• Develop reference architectures, patterns, and best practices for pub/sub and event-driven scenarios.
• Collaborate with AWS service teams to influence product roadmaps based on feedback.
• Create technical content including blogs, workshops, and whitepapers establishing thought leadership.
• Engage with open-source community and advise on managed vs self-hosted solutions.
• Deliver field enablement materials for the broader SA population.
