Job summary

Compunnel, Inc. seeks an MES Software Engineer to design, develop, integrate, and support Siemens Opcenter Execution (MES) solutions that optimize shop floor operations and connect enterprise systems.

You will work across software engineering, manufacturing operations, and IT to deliver scalable, high‑impact MES implementations in a fast-paced production environment. The role requires hands-on engineering with strong technical judgment, capable of working independently and driving major MES

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
7+ years of experience developing software solutions using .NET, C#, and ASP.NET.
Experience building and supporting enterprise applications using RESTful APIs and modern integration patterns.
Hands-on experience with messaging technologies such as MSMQ, ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ, or similar middleware.
Strong understanding of SDLC and software engineering fundamentals.
Experience with Git, Azure DevOps/TFS, or similar development tools.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and support MES applications using .NET, C#, ASP.NET, and Web APIs.
Configure and enhance Siemens Opcenter Execution solutions to meet evolving needs.
Build and maintain integrations between MES, enterprise systems, and shop floor equipment.
Collaborate with manufacturing, business, and IT stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
Provide input on design, implementation approach, and system improvements across MES initiatives.
Drive major system changes and integration efforts by identifying risks and executing solutions.
Implement messaging technologies to enable reliable communication across manufacturing systems.
Ensure data integrity and reliability across integrated applications and platforms.
Troubleshoot production and non-production issues, identify root causes, and implement long-term fixes.
Test and validate applications and integrations for performance and readiness.
Contribute to project planning, technical estimates, and delivery schedules.
Create and maintain technical documentation and provide user support.
Participate in on-call support rotation after onboarding.
