The Sr. Merchant Marketing Manager is responsible for setting the vision and day-to-day management and growth of merchant marketing campaigns. This role drives the Paze marketing strategy – inclusive of campaign planning, onboarding new merchants, agency management, asset approvals, adhering to brand and merchant guidelines. The Sr. Manager must effectively collaborate with Paze Merchants and Bank Partners as well as Early Warning’s marketing, sales, legal and product teams.

Overall Purpose

The Sr. Merchant Marketing Manager is responsible for setting the vision and day-to-day management and growth of merchant marketing campaigns. This role drives the Paze marketing strategy – inclusive of campaign planning, onboarding new merchants, agency management, asset approvals, adhering to brand and merchant guidelines. The Sr. Manager must effectively collaborate with Paze Merchants and Bank Partners as well as Early Warning’s marketing, sales, legal and product teams.

Essential Functions

  • Sets the vision for merchant marketing and drives consistent strategy and execution across enterprise merchants.
  • Participates in the development and management of merchant marketing toolkit and assets for Paze merchant campaigns and Paze Program.
  • Provides marketing support for new merchant onboarding, including working directly with merchants to coordinate public relations, social media, and marketing plans.
  • Leads merchant marketing material reviews with partners and Early Warning’s brand strategy team to ensure consistent messaging and branding.
  • Oversees marketing projects and leads complex, cross functional initiatives (.e. sets process, deadlines, deliverables, end-to-end)
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with a diverse set of internal and external partner constituencies including marketing teams, legal, finance, product, and sales.
  • Assists in other marketing related activities, such as assisting in various agile marketing needs and other activities as needed.
  • Supports the company’s commitment to protect the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education and experience typically obtained through completion of a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or other related field.
  • 10 or more years of experience in marketing.
  • Demonstrated experience in client-facing roles and success at working directly with partners.
  • Experience working for either a start-up or a high-growth organization.
  • 3-5 years experience creating and developing marketing programs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent active listening skills.
  • Proven experience managing large scale, cross-functional projects.
  • Excellent cross-functional team player that can excel at both strategy and execution.
  • Results-driven, self-motivated, organized, proactive, collaborative, and able to thrive in an ambiguous environment.
  • Background and drug screen.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Marketing experience in financial services or fintech.
  • MA or MBA is a plus.

Physical RequirementsWorking conditions consist of a normal office environment. Work is primarily sedentary and requires extensive use of a computer and involves sitting for periods of approximately four hours. Work may require occasional standing, walking, kneeling and reaching. Must be able to lift 10 pounds occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently. Requires visual acuity and dexterity to view, prepare, and manipulate documents and office equipment including personal computers. Requires the ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers and travel.

The Base Pay Scale For This Position In

New York, NY in USD per year is: $145,000 - $165,000.

Additionally, candidates are eligible for a discretionary incentive plan and benefits.
