Rue Gilt Groupe is seeking a Sr. Merchandising Planner to lead a talented team of planners in New York or Boston, with a hybrid schedule requiring 2 days in the office. You will drive inventory strategy and partner with merchandising, finance, and analytics to optimize profitability.

This role emphasizes advanced analytics, cross-functional collaboration, and strategic assortment planning across channels, with a strong operational mindset and a track record of delivering measurable results.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in merchandise planning with leadership experience
• Proven ability to influence and collaborate cross-functionally
• Strong knowledge of retail trends and consumer behavior
• Demonstrated planning and analytical skills with Excel/BI proficiency

Responsibilities

• Develop and support the merchandise strategy to optimize inventory levels and profitability
• Provide strategic direction for financial planning and in-season discussions with planners
• Establish initiatives to build assortment strategies across categories
• Evaluate financial performance of merchandise with KPIs to support strategies
• Conduct advanced data analysis to identify trends and opportunities
• Foster collaboration within the planning team and with cross-functional partners
• Develop the planning team with strong strategic and financial planning abilities
• Build relationships with Merchandising and cross-functional teams to align strategies
• Influence decisions within the Planning team and cross-functionally
