Job summary

Core-Mark International in Grants Pass, OR is seeking a Merchandiser to travel to customer locations and set displays according to planograms. You will review out-of-date products, optimize shelf space, and drive sales for multiple Oregon territories.

The role requires 30-40% travel, Monday–Friday, with a $27.00 per hour base pay and mileage/cell phone reimbursement. Join a team that supports growth and a safe, inclusive work environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• 1 year of merchandising experience.
• 1 year of planogram experience.
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, reliable vehicle and proper insurance.
• Pass post offer background check & drug screening.
• Lift up to 70 lbs. repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Service assigned stores as scheduled daily.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Merchandising, stocking, pricing, shelf facing and shelf cleaning at customer locations.
• Arrange store shelves or display areas as required by each store.
• Monitor potential account problems and report to Sales/Manager as needed.
• Maintain a safe working environment in-store aisles.
• Maintain assigned equipment.
• Report hours on provided timesheets.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Purpose:

As a Merchandiser, you’ll drive to customer locations using your personal vehicle, to meet with the customer, place merchandise in the display areas following set plan-o-grams, check for out of date (expired) product and ensure that every square foot of the store is properly set according to plan. You must be able to assess critical needs and notify management immediately of any issues. You’ll also assess customer sales and identify which items are not selling or are discontinued for each customer, making recommendations for replacement items that will increase sales and profits for the customer.

• Monitor potential account problems at the store level and report to Sales and/or Sales Manager when required.
• Maintain safe working environment which in store aisle.
• Maintenance of assigned equipment.
• Reporting hours to division on provided time sheets
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• 1 year of merchandising experience
• 1 year of planogram experience
• Must have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, reliable vehicle, and proper valid insurance.
• Must be able to pass post offer background check & drug screening.
• Must be able to frequently lift products weighing from 5-25 lbs. throughout the day.
• Must be able to lift a case of product or tote which could weigh up to 70 lbs.
