Job summary

Core-Mark International in Plainfield, IN, is seeking a Merchandiser to service stores and execute plan-o-grams, ensuring displays are properly set and shelves are stocked to maximize sales. You will travel with a team in a company vehicle, receiving company-paid gas, and work Monday through Friday with competitive hourly pay.

Starting pay ranges from $18.00 to $22.00+ per hour, based on experience, with benefits starting Day 1, plus opportunities for advancement and travel.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Reliable vehicle with current auto insurance.
• Driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Self-motivated, self-starter & detail oriented.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Frequent activity- Will lift products weighing from 5-25 lbs. This is done throughout the day. May also lift a case of product or tote which could weigh up to 70 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Service assigned stores as scheduled daily
• Providing excellent customer service
• Provide merchandising, stocking, shelf facing, stock rotating, and product and shelf cleaning at our customer locations.
• Arrange store shelves or display areas as required by each store.
• Occasional build/tear down of store shelving.
• Monitor potential account problems at the store level and report to Sales and/or Sales Manager when required.
• Maintain safe store aisles keeping areas neat and orderly.
• Perform additional duties as assigned
• Occasional overnight travel required. Might be up to a week at times. Daily Stipend and Hotel cost.

Position Details:

• Starting Pay: $18.00 - $22.00+/hour (based experience).
• Shift times: Monday - Friday

Primary Responsibilities:

As a Merchandiser, you’ll meet at the office and travel as a team in a company vehicle with company paid gas to the customer location place merchandise in the display areas following set plan-o-grams, ensuring that every square foot of the store is properly set according to plan. You’ll also assess customer sales and identify which items are not selling or are discontinued for each particular customer, making recommendations for replacement items that will increase sales and profits for the customer.
