Job summary

Notable apparel company is seeking a Merchandise Planning Manager on a temporary leave of absence to guide its merchandise strategy and support profitable growth. The role leads the planning team, oversees stock levels, and develops budgets and forecasts for seasonal and long-term decisions.

Responsibilities include reviewing sales, margins, promotions, and markdowns, identifying risks and opportunities for stores and e-commerce, and partnering with product, production, allocation, and finance

Qualifications

• At least eight years of experience in retail planning, inventory or financial analysis.
• At least three years of experience leading people.
• Strong forecasting and quantitative analysis background.
• Familiarity with planning and analytical tools.
• Ability to communicate complex findings clearly.
• Strong organizational skills and flexibility to balance priorities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee purchasing capacity and stock levels across product categories.
• Develop budgets and forecasts to support seasonal and long-term decisions.
• Lead the planning team and guide its day-to-day work.
