Job summary

Macy's is seeking an Assistant, Merchandise Planning to help develop and execute merchandise strategies that meet financial targets. You will analyze sales data, forecast demand, and monitor inventory levels and sell-through rates.

Key responsibilities include collaborating with buying, marketing and inventory teams to create seasonal plans, report on performance, and support the development of financial plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
• 1–2 years of financial or inventory management experience.

Responsibilities

• Forecast future sales and demand from historical data and trends.
• Develop seasonal merchandise plans and assortment strategies with cross-functional teams.
• Monitor inventory levels and sell-through to optimize stock and reduce excess inventory.
• Generate reports on sales, inventory metrics and KPIs to track progress.
• Contribute to merchandise financial plans including sales, margin and inventory targets.
• Foster inclusive, respectful relationships with colleagues, customers and communities.
• Support ad-hoc analyses and projects as needed.
