B&I Contractors, Inc. is hiring a Project Superintendent to lead on-site activities for large-scale mechanical contracting projects in Florida.

You will work with Project Managers, Engineers, BIM, foremen, and subcontractors to deliver projects on time, on budget, and to quality standards. The role requires extensive field leadership, coordination across trades, and a strong focus on safety, scheduling, and documentation using Procore or PlanGrid.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in leadership or supervision.
• 10+ years of construction experience.
• Healthcare experience required.
• Basic computer skills; Bluebeam and Microsoft Office preferred.
• Florida driver’s license or ability to obtain one quickly.
• Insurable driving record.
• Safety awareness is prioritized across all roles.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate on-site activities with project teams to meet schedule.
• Oversee site safety and enforce safety policies.
• Forecast and manage field personnel, equipment, materials, tools, and tasks affecting schedule.
• Support preparation of work plans with project teams.
• Review and ensure field execution of contract documents and specifications.
• Review construction documents for completeness and constructability.
• Manage the overall project and look-ahead schedules.
• Generate RFIs to clarify discrepancies and ensure document completeness.
• Review submittals for compliance with codes, specs, and manufacturer data.
• Manage and execute the company’s quality control program.
• Conduct preconstruction planning and on-site meetings with subcontractors and foremen.
• Coordinate subcontractors and provide resources to field staff.
• Maintain relationships with customers, visitors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Coordinate site work and logistics.
• Contribute to continuous improvement through feedback on processes.
• Assist with system startup, commissioning, and turnover activities.
• Mentor field staff and promote workforce development.
