Job summary

H.F. Lenz Company seeks a licensed Project Engineer with HVAC and mechanical system design expertise. You will lead the building system engineering for mechanical, HVAC, plumbing and fire protection, manage projects, and maintain client relations across healthcare and commercial markets.

You will collaborate with Principals in Charge and a nationwide team, oversee design production, and ensure schedule and budget adherence. Requires PE license and extensive MEP experience.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 15+ years of experience in MEP consulting and building system design.
• Revit software experience is highly preferred.
• Ability to manage projects and personnel and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Consult with Principals in Charge on business development activities and prepare proposals.
• Coordinate MEP design production to meet service, quality and effectiveness goals.
• Review and approve project documents, changes, and modifications for quality and accuracy.
• Collaborate with engineering staff and clients throughout the design process.
• Conduct job site observations or inspections as necessary.
• Travel to local project sites; some overnight travel may be required.
