Job summary

Dormont Manufacturing Co is seeking a full-time MEP Preconstruction Coordinator for its Herndon, VA office. This role requires leading MEP preconstruction activities including estimating and design management, and necessitates a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, along with over 7 years in the field.

Applicants should possess strong communication and time management skills, alongside the ability to lead teams effectively. This position will enable involvement with clients and stakeholders throughout the preconstruction phase.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of preconstruction experience specific to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and/or building automation systems.
• Ability to read and understand electrical, HVAC, plumbing, architectural, and civil plans.
• Experience leading a team of MEP Project Engineers or Estimators.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage MEP preconstruction activities, including estimating and design management.
• Communicate with vendors, design engineers, and clients.
• Coordinate teams to develop complete scopes of work for MEP systems.
