Job summary

Parsons in Kentucky is seeking an experienced MEP Inspector to join our team on active construction projects. You will inspect and monitor piping, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing installations, verifying work against drawings, specifications, submittals, and safety requirements.

You must have at least 10 years in related crafts with journeyman certification and 5 years inspecting MEP construction in industrial environments.

Qualifications

Minimum 10 years in related craft with journeyman certification.
Minimum 5 years inspecting MEP construction in industrial settings.
Ability to read plans, specs, and codes.
Strong written and verbal communication; capable of clear inspection reports.
Proficiency with MS Office and construction-management systems.
Able to work on active construction sites with PPE.

Responsibilities

Inspect and monitor MEP installation and construction activities.
Verify work against drawings, specifications, submittals, method statements, and codes.
Monitor contractor workmanship, materials, and testing for quality.
Conduct field inspections, walkthroughs, and installation checks.
Review inspection/test plans, material certifications, equipment docs.
Identify nonconforming work, safety concerns, and schedule issues; document findings.
Track deficiencies, punch lists, corrective actions, and re-inspections.
Coordinate inspection activities with construction teams.
Maintain daily reports, inspection records, photos, turnover docs.
Support system testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and handover.
Attend progress, coordination, quality meetings.
Follow site safety rules and report unsafe conditions.
