Job summary

Layton Construction is seeking an experienced MEP Estimator to develop and maintain cost estimates for diverse projects in early development stages and throughout Pre-construction.

You will review plans, perform quantity take-offs, and manage bids from $50–$150 million annual volumes. The role requires collaboration across in-person, remote, and hybrid teams with strong software proficiency.

Qualifications

• BS or BA in construction, management, engineering, or architecture.
• 5+ years in estimating, construction engineer/related duties.
• Preferred experience with data center, mission critical, corporate interiors.
• Ability to work with in-person, remote, and hybrid teams.
• Proficient with Destini Estimator and takeoff software.

Responsibilities

• Review plans and MEP drawings and prepare quantity take-offs.
• Develop and maintain a centralized cost estimating database.
• Solicit subcontractor bids and analyze bids for conformance.
• Attend client meetings and resolve pricing questions.
• Ensure estimates meet financial objectives.
