Clune Construction is seeking a Senior MEP Coordinator to support planning, installation, startup and commissioning of key MEP equipment in Mission Critical environments, with healthcare and TI project involvement. The role focuses on coordinating the MEP model, reviewing submittals, and guiding vendors to close punch lists.

The position includes leading commissioning documentation, MOP tracking, and mentoring junior staff, while partnering with design engineers and field teams to ensure on-time

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction Science or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 years of experience with large commercial construction projects.
• Experience collaborating with a construction project manager or superintendent.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Management Team with Preconstruction MEP information management.
• Support and schedule 3D Model coordinator for assigned projects.
• Track MEP related MOPs and cutover activities for assigned projects.
• Coordinate commissioning documentation with subcontractors, vendors, and commissioning agent.
• Process Vendor startup and commissioning.
• Assist with organizing MEP client training.
• Train and provide guidance to MEP Team on MEP concepts and installation details.

Overview

The Senior MEP Coordinator’s role is to supplement the project team by organizing the proper planning, installation, startup and commissioning of key MEP equipment. The position is focused in Mission Critical environments, but also helps with Health Care and TI projects. Responsibilities include coordinating the MEP model, reviewing MEP submittals prior to submission, providing potential solutions for MEP related RFIs, tracking MEP construction progress, organizing startup and commissioning documentation, and working with subcontractor and vendors to close punch list items.

Salary Range: $136,000 - $180,000

Supervisory Responsibilities

• While this role does not have any direct supervisory responsibilities, the Senior MEP Coordinator is responsible for mentoring staff, providing training on various MEP procedures, and providing feedback on performance reviews.

Requirements

• Advanced Experience and knowledge of the installation of MEP systems, BIM Modeling, and Construction Management.
• Experience with PLCs, control systems, process instrumentation, and/or building management systems.
• Ability to use independent judgment, self‐starting and ability to prioritize based on relevant factors.
• Ability to read and understand plans and specifications drafting and computer skills desirable.
• Ability to coordinate solutions to installation problems with design engineers and subcontractors.
• Must possess the utmost of personal integrity and have the ability to create and lead an organization’s culture of collaboration, both internally and externally, in order to maintain the superior reputation of the firm.
• Must possess the desire and ability to collaborate with design engineers and other technical personnel to create solutions to MEP problems identified in design review, construction, installation, startup, and commissioning.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction Science, or combination of equivalent education and experience.
• Minimum 6 years of experience with large commercial construction projects preferred.
• Experience as or working in collaboration with a construction project manager or superintendent preferred.
