Job summary

ColonialWebb in Richmond, VA is seeking an experienced Construction Trades Superintendent to lead a large craft workforce across multiple sites. You will recruit, evaluate, deploy, and optimize skilled trades to meet safety, quality, and schedule goals.

You will forecast labor needs, assign personnel by project requirements, build talent pipelines with schools and programs, and partner with Operations, Project Teams, HR and field supervision to maintain a high-performing team.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as a Superintendent on large, complex construction projects.
• Strong background in Mechanical and Plumbing construction.
• Experience managing and supporting large skilled craft workforces.
• Data center construction experience strongly preferred.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
• Strong understanding of workforce planning and labor forecasting.

Responsibilities

• Support workforce planning and staffing for large, complex construction projects across multiple sites.
• Forecast labor needs for current and upcoming work with Operations leadership and project teams.
• Evaluate skilled trades professionals through interviews and performance history to determine appropriate job placement.
• Assign craft professionals to projects based on experience, certifications, skill level, and project requirements.
• Develop and maintain 3-, 6-, and 12-month workforce forecasts aligned with construction schedules.
