Job summary

Sea Mar Community Health Centers is seeking a Mental Health Therapist to perform diagnostic assessments, provide individual counseling, and coordinate with psychiatric services. The role requires a Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, or social work with diagnostics coursework and an active WA license, plus several years of experience.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, or social work with coursework in psychological diagnostics.
• Four or more years’ experience in the field. Must meet criteria of a Mental Health Professional (MHP).
• Must hold and maintain an active Washington State Agency Affiliated Counselor License (or Mental Health Associate License).
• Must have and maintain a current TB test.
• Minority mental health therapist as required by WAC.

Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic assessments for each patient and develop treatment plans.
• Provide individual counseling and crisis stabilization; conduct suicide risk assessment.
• Refer patients to psychiatric services and coordinate with other providers.
• Gather information for treatment plans and maintain documentation with confidentiality.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
